A NEW PROJECT!! Kick off !!

Hey guys,

now that GLD is out in the world flying under its own power we are moveing into the next project. We will continue this project under the StopMotion Mission Banner and you will be able to watch it all happen from the very begining once more.

Well , first off.....Shel and I have had a project or 3 brewing for a bit.....and with a Long mountain hike we wrote and decided on this film as our next. We dont have a title yet but we have a great story and fun characters a happening.

So each week we should post an update on our progress as we move toward the goal of a finished film in half the time of GLD.

heres our first character from the new film.

ModelSheet -

Dober - Yes .....hes a Dog from Another Galaxy far away!!

Maquette -

Armature - MoldSculpt -
Mold - Foamed -
Painted -
and soon to be animated!!! In this Film we are excited to use all that we learned from the first film.....We want to Improve upon our successes and Incorperate a new Quality and Cinematic Knowledge to this film.

We are makeing a much smaller scale story....only 2 actors -1 set -2 Ships - and 1 great story.

This will help us get to the finish line much faster.

We are excited to Kick this film off ..... and share it all with you guys!

ROCKING! Looks fun already. Is Shel gonna animate on this one, or is she still a padawan?

The mold sculpt shot, it looks like an armature with electrical tape over it, and clay on top, is that just a quicky armature to sculpt on top of, or is that an actual armature and you're take the clay back off?

exciting stuff!

That looks friggin' awesome. Well, it looks like we're both doing space themes, but you've got a waaay different take on it. I'm looking forward to what you come up with!

Thanks for the Kik off Cheers guys!

{Amoebaboy}- you will ...very soon

{Alonso} Im not sure if shels going to animate on this one....but.... as soon as shes done with ship contruction shes scheduled to go back to Justin Animation school for a good while.

The armature with tape over it is a real ball and socket armature we had made for this puppet. I put the tape on just to protect the armature. Yes, after its molded the clay all gets wrecked and we pull it off the armature for bakeing in foam.

{kramer} thanks dood ...will do

{Don}Space themes are fun!! I had to do one cartoon in space at least in my rounds.

{Mike} Thanks dood...I love your work too man...

{emmyymmme} thanks for all the support.

{Brian}...its got alot of comedy and cleverness to it.

{Kevin}GLD is definately comeing to DVD....it might even be online for a very short run in a few months. Stay tuned.

{Yuki}...yes....Jrgens work is TOP NOTCH! I am so happy with what hes created for us.

{Rich} thanks bro!

{Nofby} thanks again...you guys are so inspiration to us..

Dob, looks a great character. [nekkid sculptor in the zone, hee]

Someone smart needs to make a web series with your making these films as stars!

so what about the postmortem on Gerald? Is that one of the specials on the DVD, or is it gonna get posted here eventually?

I CANNOT BELIEVE you just went from concept sketch to a fully armatured, foamed, and painted puppet in one blog post! My mind is utterly BLOWN!

What's the word I'm looking for here....? Oh yes...

"POWERFUL!"

{uba} - Thanks dood...I wish you could have been there too!

Im very fond of Dober as well.

{Alonso} A post Mortem...is a great idea...we did cover alot of it in the special features...but it would be cool to document it here on a deeper level.

{CJ} -Thanks dood...I appreciate all your positivity!

{Craft Cadet} - It took me probably - 12 hours to sculpt the maquette....and about the same on the Mold sculpture.

{Sven} Believe it man...we are very focused on this film...and Me and shel have become a FORCE as we work together....We already have a ton to share...so keep a look out for Puppet number 2 next week.

and thanks for watching !
