The Film is In the CAN - INTRO is finished

Hey guys,

Its been rolling at WARP speed here in the Rasch household.....

The Intro is officially done guys.....1 minute 30 seconds in 4 weeks...That is officially the end of the storyboarded film.

What a FEAT .......I have been working harder than ever to hit the finish line.

It has been happening so fast and so seamless..... that It seems like...??
how could our film have taken this long to make??

almost 4 YEARS GUYS- .....my goodness...we did not expect that.  This film
was supposed to be much shorter than Gerald but .......

The complexity of the camera work- complexity of the story and amount of Compositing - effects- LIFE -job.....so on.....

  it just takes time....

so....

I did have a crazy dream or 2 during this focused last push. Animating whole shots in my sleep is not uncommon......and the worst was a dream where I removed  my eyelids....FREAKY DEAKY...but that says alot about the mind set...ha!!

Since we decided to puppeteer alot of the flying shots- here is a nice example of us putting the kids to work while capturing a fly through-

We have been having so much fun with all the puppeteering stuff.....its been lots of fun puzzles just like in stop mo. Its just totally hard not to smile when running these miniatures through their paces.

Here is B johnson from our Puppet ship session.

Here is one of the shots of flea with some ship malfunctions-

One of the biggest goals of the Intro is to GRAB the Audience right away and to be Exciting... I can  happily say It has delivered...We cant wait to share it with you guys.

So...

Moving into the Next phase of our film making is to assess the film in multiple Critics and plan on a few pick up shots for clarification of story points and emotional impact.

I plan on lots of FX and compositing work through out the film and lots of wire removal.  We also
have some TITLE Work to do and then prepping it for our composer to get cranking on the MUSIC.

So MUCH is still to come guys!!! Keep an eye out!!

here is a celebratory trick of the week-

Woo Hootie Hoo! Love all the clips. Love to hear how you screen for critics to clarify plot point, etc. That's cool that you already know/expect to make pick up shots. And to know to celebrate the huge milestone of completing the storyboard shooting.

Love the puppeteering! I think it's the right solution for your film's hand made style. That rocks, for true. Congratulations to you!
